Sunish Sehgal is a Professor and Winter Wheat Breeder at South Dakota State University. Dr. Sehgal’s research focuses on the identification and characterization of molecular switches that control the genotype-to-phenotype relationship for various traits in wheat. He applies this knowledge in developing new winter wheat varieties that are high-yielding, resilient to biotic and abiotic stresses, and offer good milling and baking characteristics.
